The valley of flowers which is in the month April to May is a great time to go as the rhododendrons are full in bloom during this time at Lachung and in the Yumthang Valley. Another good time and its best time to visit Lachung is during Losar festival which is held in the months between February to March, when the local peoples are in their full traditional costumes, eat, drink and perform many cultural shows. In the beginning of December it is also the great time to see the monks performing mask dances at Lachung Monastery. Festivals and the snow covered are capped in this month which is bthe time to visit the place to capture the scenic beauty in the blanket of snow.
